Davide Xodo

Colli Berici

Originally from Vicenza in Veneto, Davide decided after school to study enological sciences in Toulouse. This experience led him to work first in Bierzo and then in the Chianti Classico area, where he spent around ten years. In 2018, he returned to his native land to start a family with Veronica and establish his own project.

Davide farms around five hectares on the eastern side of the Colli Berici, a charming group of hills of sedimentary origin, with silt-clay soils rich in limestone and a basic pH. The vineyards are surrounded by woods and benefit from excellent ventilation, resulting in bright, high-quality fruit. Through Davide's careful work, the resulting wines are always incredibly balanced, genuine and accessible.

He works without chemicals in the vineyard and avoids forcing or manipulating the wines in the cellar, relying on natural fermentations and adding small amounts of SO₂ at bottling only when necessary.
