Another charming Nebbiolo from Deirdre and Maurizio. Sourced from young vines planted on the calcareous clay slopes next to the Cascina in Villamiroglio. Destemmed, the grapes ferment for ten days on the skins before being pressed to concrete to rest for two years. From a fresh vintage, this is a fragrant, aromatic Nebbiolo that combines notes of violet, raspberry and earth. The fine tannins are paired with the usual tension we find in the Cascina's Nebbiolo.
