From the volcanic hills around Breganze in Veneto, we are thrilled to share the new arrivals from Davide Andreatta - Il Ceo.

Davide farms tiny plots of vines up to eighty years old, rooted in iron-rich volcanic rock and ancient glacial moraine, two to three hundred metres above sea level. He works by hand, with biodynamic preparations, green manure, and propolis.

Together with a restock of the gorgeous Frizzante Rosato 2023 and a handful of the sumptuous Vespri Orange 2023, we finally have the Toro back to our shores. Made of Merlot from old vines planted over flat basalts rich in iron and silex, whole bunches slowly fermented in fibreglass. The 2024 vintage is so far the purest and most precise from Davide, a red wine that pairs notes of smoky red berries and menthol fringed by delicate tannins and savoury minerals.

For those in the trade, we will be showcasing these wines at our next trade tasting on Monday, 2nd March, at Ducksoup in Soho.
