We are delighted to introduce the 2023 vintage from Davide Xodo.
Nestled on the picturesque hills of Nanto, on the eastern Colli Berici, Davide tends five hectares of vines planted on two different soils typical of the region - pale limestone rocks and red clays. Organically farmed, the local varieties Garganega, Tai Bianco and Tai Rosso are wisely complemented by the international Pinot Bianco, Merlot and Syrah.
Davide has been working exclusively on this project since 2018, after some experience in France and Spain, followed by a decade spent in Chianti. Skilful and knowledgeable, his winemaking always translates into genuine wines of impeccable balance, ready to be enjoyed at a young age.
Thanks to a luminous vintage blessed by a clement summer and generous yields, this release sees the return of two of our favourite labels, Scafo Bianco and Scafo Rosso, alongside the most focused expressions of Nina and Garganegade.
