Tocai Friulano with a tiny percentage of Picolit and Malvasia Istriana from cru Montona, located on the windy Quarin hill overlooking the Slovenian Brda. A beautiful vineyard, surrounded by forest, planted in 1968 on soils rich in limestone and fossils. Harvested in the second half of September, the grapes were crushed by foot in plastic buckets and pressed into a concrete vat to rest for eleven months before bottling. From a fresher vintage, this is a white wine of unique charm and incredible tension, with delicate notes of chamomile, fresh herbs, and mandarin, all fringed by an elegant texture and remarkable salinity. Simply one of the prettiest wines we ever tasted.
