A field blend from a historic vineyard, mostly Nebbiolo with Vespolina, Uva Rara, Croatina, and other local varieties from vines up to a hundred years old. After spontaneous fermentation on the skins in open steel vats, the wine rests in a large barrel for two years. Another stunning vintage from Paola and Ivano, this is a wine of incredible complexity and poise, with notes of earth, bitter orange, and gentle spices. The palate is impossibly elegant, with refined tannins and a fresh, balsamic length.
