After a memorable day in Modena last February, we are pleased to introduce the Scaramusc 2024 from Marco Lanzotti of Angol d'Amig.
Having worked with well-known Emilian producers such as Vittorio Graziano, Ca' de Noci, and Cinque Campi, Marco started Angol d'Amig in 2013 with a natural approach in the vineyard and a deep knowledge of bottle refermentation. Today, he farms six hectares of vines across four plots around Modena and produces some of the most sophisticated, yet approachable, sparkling wines in the region.
Our preferred Lambrusco from Marco to date, the new Scaramusc offers a level of balance and poise previously unseen. Featuring crushed berries, citrus, and herbs, tempered by fine tannins and a persistent fizz, it is a wine truly suited for any occasion. The generous vintage also gave us a handful of magnums.
Alongside this, we have received a restock of the charming Lambrusco rosato "Spoma?" 2023. For those in the trade, We will be pouring these, along the new releases from Claudio Plessi, Fora in Vigna, Il Roccolo di Monticelli and Tremila, at our next trade tasting - Monday, May 18th, at Casa Fofó in Hackney. Please get in touch if you would like to attend.
