From the peaceful hills of the Val di Sangro in Southern Abruzzo, we are thrilled to present the new release from Luca Bevilacqua.
After a few years as a sommelier in Europe, Luca returned to his homeland in 2001 and took over the family vineyard shortly after that. The 2.5 hectares of vines are planted on a mixture of clay and silt, surrounded by olive and peach trees, as well as tomato and wheat fields. Farming is carried out without the use of pesticides and chemicals, avoiding even the use of traditional copper and sulfur.
Using only native yeasts in steel and fiberglass, with some ageing in acacia and ceramic eggs, Luca takes a genuine, hands-off approach that allows the grapes to fully express their character, resulting in effortlessly drinkable wines.
Direct from the 2023 vintage, our latest shipment features Rose Lab, Lello, Super White, and an exciting new Trebbiano from a sandy seaside plot, La Cura. A reload of the pulsing Lollo 2022 completes the line-up.
