Ahead of Marco Lanzotti's first visit to London this weekend, we are pleased to introduce the latest releases from Angol d'Amig.
Marco started his journey as a winemaker after five years on the floor of one of the all-time favourite restaurants in Modena, Osteria Stallo del Pomodoro. Here, he has met and collaborated with well-known Emilian producers, such as Vittorio Graziano, Ca' de Noci, and Vanni from Cinque Campi. In 2013, he decided to rent a small plot of Lambrusco Grasparossa and start his little "friends' corner". He has since added several vineyards around Modena, where he organically grows local varieties on a mixture of clay, limestone and sandy soil.
Today, a master of the second fermentation in bottle, Marco is crafting genuine and refined frizzanti among the best in the region. From the 2023 vintage, we received his iconic red Lambrusco Scaramusc, the delicious Lambrusco rosato "Spoma?" and the bianco frizzante blend of Trebbiano and Pignoletto, Pulonia.
If you'd like to meet Marco, he will pour a selection of new and old wines at 107 in Lower Clapton this Sunday afternoon, 8th of June. The following day, Monday 9th, we will show the wines at Hector's from 10 am to 4 pm for trade only.
