We’re delighted to have Gloria Di Paola of Tre.mi.la joining us from Sicily on Monday 9 November, pouring a collection of her wines for the trade at Bambi in London Fields, including the first showing of her 2024 reds.
Gloria tends three small vineyards on different slopes of Mount Etna, at around eight hundred metres above sea level. Here, volcanic soils and the interplay between mountain and Mediterranean influences give each vineyard its own distinctive character. From the steep, sea-facing slopes of Milo to the old vines of Adrano and Monte Ilice, her plots are scattered across a landscape of remarkable beauty and contrasts.
Working organically and entirely by hand, Gloria follows a thoughtful, low-intervention approach in both vineyard and cellar, producing wines that capture the individuality of these sites with purity of fruit, and understated elegance.
Having Gloria with us will offer a unique opportunity to explore the different expressions of Etna, guided by her intimate understanding of the volcano as both a winemaker and a nature guide.
As usual, the tasting will run from 10am to 4pm. If you work in the trade and would like to join us, please get in touch with your preferred time.
