Introducing Belloca Vini

March 2026

We are delighted to introduce the work of Alessandro Milan and Francesca Carrettoni of Belloca Vini.

Originally from Venezia and Milano respectively, the couple met during a work placement on the Friuli’s western hills. Alessandro studied viticulture and enology in Udine, and after a vintage spent in a winery in Bordeaux, he returned to Veneto to build a family with Francesca. In 2021, the couple settled on the picturesque hills between the Val Tramigna and the Val d’Alpone in Eastern Veneto, where they have planted three plots between six and seven hundred meters above sea level. An enchanting landscape, shaped by both sedimentary and igneous soils, where the Mediterranean climate is mitigated by the proximity of the Lessini Mountains.

In the early years together, they worked vineyards and orchards owned by local farmers, crafting wines and ciders that caught our attention for purity and soul. Today, they are farming Durella, Moscato Bianco, Bronner, and Muscaris on limestone, and Pinot Noir on calcareous clay, alongside apples and heritage cherry varieties. In 2024, they introduced Malvasia Istriana, Garganega, and red ancient varieties to a rugged volcanic hillside. Their approach to farming is rooted in regenerative and biodynamic principles.

In the cellar, grapes are processed manually, slowly pressed using a basket press, and fermentations occur in fiberglass and old barrels. Bottling is made without fining or filtration, and no sulphur is added at any stage.

Francesca and Alessandro’s wines brim with energy and character, hinting at a future as bright as their passion. With youth and enthusiasm fueling their craft, this feels like the dawn of a remarkable adventure.
